Iron Tech Lawyer RFP

Do you have an idea for an app that will help increase access to justice? If so Georgetown’s Iron Tech Lawyer Program is interested. This coming spring semester Georgetown Law has a practicum class on creating useful web apps.
Up to seven apps will be chosen for the class, no fee will charged to participants but as part of the application you will need to identify an expert who can spend a couple hours a week helping the team assigned to the app.
You can check out the embedded video below to get a feel for some of the apps that have been created in the past or check out the Iron Tech Lawyer webpage. If you are interested in applying take a look at the full RFP.
You have until November 11th to submit a proposal using the following requirements.
Project Description: A proposal should describe: 1) the organization submitting the proposal, 2) the nature and need that the app is intended to address, 3) the apps’ intended users, and 3) how the app fits within the organization’s service delivery model or the larger access to justice ecosystem.
Subject Matter Expert: Every proposal should identify one or more subject matter experts who will be available work with the student team assigned to the app. (Typically, SME’s devote approximately two hours a week to app development or less. SME’s are not required to have any technical expertise.)
Length: Proposals should not exceed 750 words in length.
Due Date: Proposals are due November 11th, 2016.
Selection Criteria: Proposals should address one or more of the goals described above.
