The two main email lists for the poverty law tech community:
LStech - managed by LSNTAP this technology in legal services list (LSTECH) is intended to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among those working in technology in the legal services community. This is moderately active list with 10-25 emails a week on average.
NTAP Tech Management - provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among people in the legal services community that are currently managing technology projects or are program managers or directors. This is a lightly active list used mostly to post tech announcements.
You should really join one of these two if you want to stay informed of developments in the world of legal aid technology.

MIP Users - for MIP nonprofit accounting software users in the poverty law community.
Nonprofit Technology Circuit Riders - established to create an informal channel of communication between "circuit riders" - those doing technology in and for nonprofits. The primary nonprofit techie list. Pretty active. There are actually two lists Riders-Tech (technical discussion) and Riders-Talk (general discussion).
NOSI - discussion list of the Nonprofit Open Source Initiative: a volunteer effort aimed at bridging the gap between the nonprofit and open source communities. Good resource for Linux questions.
MS Office Tips - Tips for those in poverty law community using Microsoft Office suite of applicaitons.
Open Source - discussion list for those in the poverty law community interested in the benefits of open source software.
